List of Colors in Portuguese From A to Z

Coloured Pencils

Coloured Pencils by Darren Harvey.

I’ve been wanting to write a Portuguese vocabulary list of colors since I’ve started writing for Falabra, and after a lot of postponing, here it is, I’m finally doing it. On a matter of fact, I’m planning to publish a lot more vocabulary lists in near future, so if there’s a particular list you would like to see here, let me know and I’ll crack on it.

For the moment, let’s get back to colors, for some curious reason that eludes me, talking about colors is something wich makes me feel quite happy. There is an expression in Portuguese that goes like “Deixe a vida mais colorida”, which literally translate “Let life be a little bit more colorful”, I guess that in Brazil, and in other lusophone countries, we tend think of colour as an element of happiness.

I guess that if you think about it for a little bit, you’ll figure that it really, so here they are, enough colors to make anyone happy.

If the list above is not enough, learn with the videos below:

So, did you like that? I tried to cover the most common colors, but I try my best to add a few odd ones as well. The end result seems is a very complete color list to me, but if you know of an important color I missed out, please, by all means, let me know in the comment area below and I’ll top up the list with it. Thanks!
